1.  Four times a year a month has a 5th Sunday.  We have designated the
Fifth Sunday as St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Sunday.  We ask your
financial support to help them help others in need in our community.

2.  The SVdP is Sponsoring SOUPer Bowl again this year.  There are two
barrels in the narthex.  You are invited to “vote” for your favorite
team by bringing  a donation for the pantry and putting it either the NY
Giants or the New England Patriots barrels.  Suggested items:  catsup,
jam, peanut butter, canned stew, canned fruit, tuna……or whatever is
on sale this week.

3.  This Sunday begins Catholic Schools week and we will have
representatives at Mass to answer any questions you may have.

4.  After Mass this Sunday we will have two raffle baskets (one
chocolate & one spa).  The raffle tickets are $1 each and the drawing
will be at the Valentine Dinner on Feb 11.  The money raised will be for
scholarships to the Women’s Retreat in the spring.

5.  Be sure to get your Valentine Dinner tickets, too, for February 11.
The tickets are $25 each and the evening will include dinner and a speaker.

6.  Explorers68 will meet Sunday at 6 pm.  This is a program for young
people in grades 6-8.

1.  Thank you to all who turned in a Stewardship Commitment Card for
2012.  It is not too late to do so if you have been procrastinating!
At this point, the amounts pledged are 7% less than the amount pledged
last year ($318,000 this year -$340,00 last year).  The Finance Council
will be looking closely at the budget for the year ahead.

2.  Explorers 68 for kids in grades 6 through 8 will meet this Sunday at
6 pm.

3.  We need volunteers after the 10:30 Mass to help take down the
Christmas decorations:  the more the merrier — can count for community
services kids!

4.  Knight of Columbus Crab and Spaghetti Feast:  Saturday January 28,
tickets on sale after Mass, $25 each.  Profits will go to support their
pro-life outreach.

5.  Looking for something for Valentines?  Take your spouse to the
Valentine Dinner on Saturday, February 11.  Special speaker, Terry
Hershey, and a catered dinner.  Tickets $25 each available at the
Welcome Booth.

1.  This Sunday is the Feast of Mary the Mother of God and masses will
be at the regular times:  8 and 10:30 am.

2.  As we move away from the holiday times, we need to remember that
hunger goes on all year long.  Remember to bring an item for the Food
Pantry to Church on Sunday.

3.  On January 8th we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany.  We will
need volunteers after the second Mass to help take down the Christmas
decorations.  It’s never as much fun as putting them up, but we do need
volunteer helpers, so if you can stay for an hour or more, please plan
to help out.

4.  The Knights of Columbus will begin selling tickets for the
All-You-Can-eat Crab and Spaghetti Feast which will be on Saturday
January 28.  Tickets will be available after Mass:  $25 each.
