The Vegetarian Booth (1 ticket)
The Side Salad Booth (1 ticket for 2 servings)
The Ladies Auxiliary Dessert Booth (1 ticket)
The Beverage Booth: 1 ticket for root beer float
Complimentary pop and water.

If you want to play in the Bingo game, it will be one dollar.

Also, there are some great RAFFLES for
Christmas/Easter parking and reserved pews ($5 a ticket)
Year-round reserved parking ($5 a ticket),
A weekend get away at the ocean ($5 a Ticket) and
3 different gift baskets ($1 a ticket)

As usual there will be games and prizes for the kids, great music, and
fun for everyone.

Of course if it rains (which it WON’T) the picnic can move indoors and

Financial Peace University coming to Holy Innocents!

We are excited to announce a great personal finance class at Holy Innocents this Fall. Financial Peace University (FPU) is a life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before. More than 1 million families have attended FPU with amazing results. On average, they pay off $5,300 in debt and save $2,700 in just 90 days. You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever!  The program is produced by Dave Ramsey, author of The Total Money Makeover and host of The Dave Ramsey Show heard by 5 million radio listeners each day.

Class members meet each week to watch a video lesson and participate in discussion groups. Dave’s style is simple and easy to understand. He will change the way you think about money. You’ll actually have fun as you learn!  The course materials include a lifetime membership and cost $93 per family.  We are also offering several scholarships for families.  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please contact coordinator Mike Eck.

Classes start on Thursday, 9/16 and continue weekly for 13 weeks between 6:30 and 8:30 PM.  Holy Innocents will offer child care for children under 12 so couples with children can attend.  For children over 12, we welcome their participation in the program!

Class coordinators will be available after the 8/8 and 8/15 masses to answer questions and complete registrations.  In addition, we will hold video previews downstairs after the 8/22 and 8/29 masses and invite you to attend.  The video preview will run for approximately 25 minutes and give you a good idea of what the class will be like.  The names of all attendees of the video preview sessions will be entered into a hat and one family will win a free FPU membership!

1.  There are a few spaces left today and tomorrow to get your photo
into the church directory.  Go online to reserve an appointment:

2.  Wow!  This week at the food pantry we had 69 families (a 40%
increase over the week before).  We have had 26 new registrations in
just this week.
So you know what that means:  we could use some food donations.  Any of
our standard donations are welcome (shop the grocery sales!) but if you
would like a suggestion:  cereal, pasta sauce, or jam/jelly

3.  If you are interested if finding more out about the Dave Ramsey
Financial Peace University program being offered this fall, plan to come
downstairs after Mass this Sunday to see a presentation.

4.  The Parish Picnic will be Sunday, September 12.  Sign up to attend,
buy your food tickets in advance (save standing in line), buy your
picnic raffle tickets (reserved seating and parking for Christmas or
Easter, reserved parking year-round, and 3 different gift baskets), and
volunteer to help — you can do it all after Mass.

5.  The 2010 Quilt Raffle is on display at church.

2. We start giving out school supplies next Wednesday, August 25.
Thank you to all who have already generously brought in donations. On
Sunday, our Confirmation candidates are going to be sorting and
organizing them for distribution. The sales are great right now, so if
you are able be sure to bring in your school supplies donations by Sunday.

3. The pantry shelves are getting pretty empty. Any donations are
welcome, but if you want a suggestion: pasta and/or pasta sauce.

4. A special thank you to all the volunteers who have been helping
check folks in for their pictures. If you can help, I NEED VOLUNTEERS
– Thursday from 4 to 8 pm, Friday 2 to 6 pm, and Saturday all day (any
