LITURGIES of HOLY WEEK (click for description of the special Easter/Holy Week Liturgies)

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Adoration ministers are scheduled in pairs once every other month to open the church, set up for prayer and then close the church. Ministers are needed each Friday 7pm.  Contact persons are Ray & Trudy Bly 425-788-8263 or rebbly@verizon.net

Altar Server

Youth (5th grade and older) and Adults who assist the priest during Sunday Liturgies, feast days and special masses. Altar servers are scheduled about once a month at the mass of their choice Training sessions are scheduled a couple of times during the year or as needed. Contact (425)788-1400 or office@holyinn.org

Eucharistic Minister

Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest in distributing the Eucharist at mass on Sundays, holidays and feast day liturgies, as well as special sacramental events.  Eucharistic ministers are scheduled about  once a month on a rotating schedule at the Mass of your choice.  Training session is about 1 hour and  are scheduled a couple times during each year.  Contact the office at (425)788-1400 or office@holyinn.org

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God and  also lead the prayers of the faithful. Lectors are scheduled one a month on a rotating basis at the Mass of your choice. Training sessions are about 1 hour  long and  are scheduled a couple times during each year.  Contact the office at  (425)788-1400 or office@hlyinn.org

Gift Bearer

Gift bearers bring up the gifts of bread and wine during the offertory procession in Mass. Parishioners are encouraged to help in this ministry.  A Sign-up Book for this ministry is located at the doors of the church. Contact person: Debby Weidner  (425)788-1400 or debby@holyinn.org

Greeter

Greeters provide a welcoming presence to parishioners as they gather for liturgy.  Ministers are scheduled approximately once a month at a Sunday Mass of their choice and should be able to arrive 15 minutes before mass begins.  Contact person: Debby Weidner  (425)788-1400 or debby@holyinn.org

Sacristan

Behind the scenes, careful hands prepare, clean and maintain vestments, vessels, altar linens, candles, candle holders, etc. Leadership, an ability to coordinate and a gift for details are needed for this liturgical ministry .  Sacristans serve approximately once a month on a rotating basis at the Mass of your choice. Usher

Ushers supervise the seating and orderly movement of the faithful during liturgical services. They ensure the safety and comfort of the congregation, gather collections and conduct head counts each week. Ushers serve approximately once a month at the Mass of their choice and training is offered a couple times a year. Contact (425)788-1400 or Office@holyinn.org

Youth and Family Liturgy

The Youth and Family Liturgy is celebrated the 4th Sunday of every month at the 10:30 Liturgy from September through May.  Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to participate each month in the liturgical ministries of Lector, Usher, Greeter, Gift Bearers, Choir and Musicians. Training and practice takes place the Wednesday before each mass. Contact Debby Weidner at 788-1400 or debby@holyinn.org

Liturgy Commission ( not meeting now)

The Liturgy Commission assists the pastor in achieving the goal of full, conscious, and active participation of the people a the Eucharist as stated in the Constitution on Sacred Liturgy and to advise and support the pastor on the spirituality and prayer life of the parish community.  Members serve approximately two years and up until a few months ago, would meet once a month on Sunday mornings. Music Ministry

This ministry serves the parish community by supporting and leading the music for each Liturgy.  There are many roles within the ministry: choir member, accompanist, song leader and psalmist.  Previous choral experience in not required, but if you have it, that’s a bonus!  Members of the choir rehearse on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30 PM and there is a Saturday rehearsal once a month during busier seasons like Christmas and Easter.  The choir “season” begins in September and ends around Pentecost (late May to early June).  If you have questions about joining the music ministry, please contact Leah MacDuffie at musicmin@holyinn.org for more information.
