In the late summer, we ask parishioners to bring school supplies: notebooks, backpacks, pencils, pens, paper, etc. Or they make a financial contribution, and we purchase needed items. We let the people who come to the Pantry pick out school supplies for their children. As it is very expensive for parents to meet the requests of the schools for supplies, whatever we can give the children helps. Suggested needed items are on the link above (school supply list).

In 2008, 79 children (46 families) were given school supplies. Extra school supplies were given to the local school PTSA to be given to needy children through the year. Thank you to parishioners who generously gave donations, to the Duvall (Methodist) Church who also brought donations, and to the volunteers who helped distribute the supplies. There were many grateful parents and happy, excited children here.
