Can You Help the Kids?

Late summer is the time families have start thinking about school supplies for their children. Thanks to your generosity in the past we have been able to help our pantry families with school supplies. In 2014, we helped 83 children (and even a couple of college students) get ready for the first day of school; an 8.5% increase over 2013.

Shop the sales and bring your donations to church.  If you have a child in school, consider taking your child shopping for another child in his age group by duplicating your child’s list.

Special Note About Riverview Elementary Schools
For the 2015/2016 school year, the elementary schools in the Riverview School District are telling families to bring only a check for $40-$45, a back pack, and earbuds this year.  The teachers are going to buy for their classes in bulk and this will also cover the school fees.

If you would like to help our pantry families and their kids, consider either buying a backpack, earbuds, (a flash drive for 5th graders) or making a financial donation.  THANK YOU!!!

This only applies to elementary school age children.  The middle school children still need supplies like college rule paper, 3-ring binders, pens, note cards and other items appropriate for their age listed below.
