St. Vincent dePaul

Parishioners in our Holy Innocents St. Vincent de Paul Conference (SVdP) volunteer to help others in need throughout our community. The Vincentians make home visits to assist the needy by offering compassion and financial help. The conference receives funding from the donations of our parishioners and meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of the church. For more information about SVdP, and to learn how you can volunteer, please call the office at 425-788-1400.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul exists to respond to those in need in a person-to person manner. We help people regardless of race, creed, national origin or age. We strive to see the face of Christ in everyone we serve. You can help us in this mission of charity. Your financial support will enable us to have the resources to meet the basic needs of those who desperately need help.

JANUARY 1, 2010 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2010

Holy Innocents’ St. Vincent de Paul Conference provides financial, emotional, and spiritual support for the poor and needy in our community. Over the past year, our conference helped prevent families from being evicted and also provided assistance to keep electricity on and water running. We helped those who cannot afford prescriptions and those who needed gas to get to a job or to a doctor’s appointment. We also helped families who needed items from the St.Vincent de Paul Store, such as a bed for themselves or a child or clothes to wear to school or to work. In these hard economic times, more people than ever need assistance. Here is what Holy Innocents’ Conference funds paid for in the past year while helping 117 people.

Funds for Holy Innocents’ St. Vincent de Paul come from various sources including the Thanksgiving, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Thursday collections, the fifth Sunday collections, a Human Services Grant from the City of Duvall, corporate matching funds, private donations, fund raising, and the collection box in the Church. Our Vincentians are volunteers who have a calling to help the poor. In 2010, they devoted 693 hours of time to St. Vincent de Paul.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support of our Conference. You make a tremendous difference in the lives of others in the lower Snoqualmie Valley.
